ABOUT THE JOB

The duties in the posting centre on the warehouse gas station: attendants welcome and help members, direct traffic and deal with fuel spills. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome, help and inform members as needed, and direct traffic.
  • Clean up gas spills with a neutralizing agent or absorbing cloth, and dispose of the material properly.
  • Clean the station as needed, including dispensers, the data hut, spill buckets, islands, pavement and trash.
  • Load pump receipt tape, inspect all equipment every day and notify management about defective equipment.
  • Take weekly gasoline samples and paste tests, measure nozzle flow timing every week and reconcile the gasoline inventory daily.
  • Research gas prices in the area with an online tool or a private vehicle, and key the report into the computer each day.
  • Monitor fuel and cleaning additive deliveries, sign delivery receipts, and dispense additive into the underground fuel tank before a fuel delivery.
  • Enforce fire codes and Costco safety policies, such as no smoking and ignition turned off, respond to alarms and use a fire extinguisher if necessary.
  • Assist in other areas of the warehouse as necessary.
