This page explains where the job listings on GetJobnify.com come from, how we check that they are still open, and what to do if you find a mistake. It describes the process we actually use today.
Where listings come from
Every listing starts from a posting that the employer has published on its own official hiring channel. At the moment, GetJobnify.com covers three employers in Canada:
- Costco: postings on Costco Canada’s careers portal, which is run on the Cadient Talent platform and linked from costco.ca.
- Tim Hortons: restaurant postings on HigherMe, the hiring platform that the official Tim Hortons careers site links to.
- Dollarama: store postings and application forms on dollarama.com.
We do not take listings from anonymous sources. Each listing summarizes the information a candidate needs first, such as the job title, the location and the main duties.
You always apply on the employer’s site
Each listing has an Apply link that goes to the official posting. GetJobnify.com does not receive applications, does not ask you for personal information to apply, and never charges job seekers. The employer reviews applications, decides who is hired and contacts candidates directly. If anyone asks you for money or banking details in the name of GetJobnify.com, it is not us.
Pay information
We do not estimate or add pay figures. A listing mentions pay only when the official posting stated it, and the official posting is always the reference, because employers can change it at any time.
How we check that a job is still open
Postings close when positions are filled, so an automated check runs once a day. For every published listing, it opens the official posting link and looks for clear signs that the job has closed: the page no longer exists, the page says the position is no longer available, the employer’s portal sends the visitor to its general home page instead of the posting, or the hiring platform reports the posting as unpublished.
- A listing is removed only if it appears closed on two nights in a row. One bad result is not enough, because sites can have temporary problems.
- If the check cannot get a clear answer, for example because the employer’s site is down, the listing is left as it is.
- If an unusually large share of listings appears closed at the same time, nothing is removed, since that usually points to a problem with the portal rather than real closures.
- When a listing is removed, its address redirects to that employer’s page on GetJobnify.com (or to the home page if no employer page applies), so old links do not lead to a dead page.
There can still be a delay between a change on the employer’s site and our update. Always confirm on the official posting that a job is open before you apply.
Guides
Our application and interview guides are based on the employers’ official pages and on Government of Canada resources such as Job Bank. Each guide lists its sources and the date they were last checked, and we update a guide when we find that an official process has changed.
Independence
GetJobnify.com is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Costco, Tim Hortons, Dollarama or any other employer whose jobs it lists. Company names are used only to identify the employer. More details are in our Disclaimer.
Corrections
If you see a listing that has closed, a detail that does not match the official posting, or an error in a guide, please write to contact@getjobnify.com. Include the address of the page and, if possible, a link to the official source. We review reports and correct or remove the content when the official source confirms the problem.
