ABOUT THE JOB

The shift supervisor leads the crew on the floor. The posting splits the work into four areas: people, hospitality, operations, and health and safety. Supervisors keep standards for product, cleanliness and guest experience during the shift, report on team member performance to the restaurant owner or managers, and work various positions when the restaurant gets busy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct team members during the shift, train and coach new hires, and report on their performance to management.
  • Help the Restaurant Manager with recruiting and with keeping enough people on every shift.
  • Deal with guest complaints quickly and courteously, and set the example for hospitality on the floor.
  • Run shift cash procedures and see that cash, meal, break and food safety policies are followed.
  • Use positioning charts, check that products and packaging are stocked, and complete shift paperwork such as waste records and pre-rush checklists.
  • Help drive sales during the shift and escalate to management any problem that needs their attention.
  • Follow safe work practices, wear protective equipment when required and report injuries, accidents or unsafe conditions.

  • Current or previous experience as a Tim Hortons team member.
  • Availability for a full-time position.
