ABOUT THE JOB
As a Store Manager at Dollarama, you will be responsible for the full operation of the store. You will oversee day-to-day activities, merchandise presentation, recruitment and training of employees, scheduling, inventory management and overall customer experience. You will also ensure that company policies and standards are consistently applied and that the store meets sales and productivity goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, motivate and develop the store team to deliver strong customer service and operational results.
- Plan, organize and supervise all daily store functions, including opening, closing and cash management.
- Recruit, hire, train and coach associates, Assistant Store Managers and Team Leaders as required.
- Implement Dollarama policies, procedures and merchandising standards and ensure they are followed at all times.
- Oversee receiving, processing and replenishing of merchandise to keep shelves full, clean and well presented.
- Monitor sales, labour and other key metrics, taking action to achieve store targets and control expenses.
- Coordinate schedules and staffing levels based on traffic patterns and operational needs.
- Ensure store cleanliness, safety and loss prevention practices are respected by all team members.
- Address escalated customer concerns in a professional, solution-focused manner.
- Lead by example on the sales floor, promoting a positive, respectful and performance-driven culture.
