ABOUT THE JOB
The Stocker is responsible for stocking and arranging merchandise for sale, maintaining clean aisles, and assisting members as needed throughout the warehouse.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follows merchandising standards and practices to ensure product availability.
- Aligns products, collects and returns stray items, and stocks shelves to maintain high product levels.
- Communicates with supervisors and managers to determine merchandising plans and priorities.
- Writes lists of products to be brought from sales floor, forklift driver, or backroom.
- Uses box knife to cut boxes for display and prepares shrink-wrapped pallets.
- Stocks opened cases on shelves and positions pallets using manual pallet jack.
- Creates computer-generated signs and ensures correct product signage.
- Marks unmarked product with item numbers using marking gun.
- Sets up display models and assembles merchandise as required.
- Follows safety and security procedures when handling merchandise.
- Pulls loose cardboard and slip-sheets from floor and clears aisles of debris.
- Operates cardboard baler and trash compactor.
- Provides prompt and courteous member service and assists members with locating items.
