ABOUT THE JOB
As a Stocker at Costco, you will stock and straighten merchandise throughout the warehouse, help keep aisles clean and safe, and support merchandising standards. You’ll move product from pallets to shelves, rotate and replenish inventory, set up displays and signage, and assist members with finding items or loading large purchases. This position also supports basic housekeeping and may involve equipment such as manual pallet jacks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Stock and straighten merchandise on the sales floor to maintain full, organized shelves.
- Follow merchandising standards, align product, and return stray items to the correct locations.
- Coordinate with supervisors to understand priorities and create lists of items needing replenishment.
- Move product from pallets to shelves and rewrap or re-stack pallets as needed.
- Use box cutters to open packaging and ensure product is stocked safely and efficiently.
- Move and position pallets of merchandise using a manual pallet jack.
- Create and place computer-generated signs; ensure accurate product signage and mark items when needed.
- Set up and adjust displays, including assembling items and preparing products for member handling.
- Keep aisles clear by collecting cardboard, pulling loose debris, and removing empty pallets from the sales floor.
- Operate trash/cardboard compactors or balers where assigned and trained.
- Provide prompt and courteous member service, including directions and basic product assistance.
- Help members load large items into carts and maintain general product knowledge on the floor.
- Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed.
