Costco is hiring a reliable Stocker to support merchandising and replenishment in its warehouse in Brampton, ON. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy active, hands-on work—keeping shelves stocked, aisles clean and helping members find what they need in a fast-paced retail environment.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Stocker at Costco, you will stock and straighten merchandise, maintain high product levels and support safe, organized aisles. You will work with supervisors to follow merchandising plans, move pallets and product using approved equipment and ensure signage and displays are accurate and member-friendly.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Stock and straighten merchandise on the sales floor to maintain high product availability and organized aisles.
- Follow Costco merchandising standards, align product and collect and return stray items to the correct locations.
- Communicate with supervisors and managers to understand stocking priorities and merchandising plans.
- Write or follow product lists for items to be brought from the steel by forklift drivers for replenishment.
- Use box cutters safely to open cartons and to cut twine or shrink-wrap; wrap, tie and tag pallets for return to steel.
- Stock opened cases on shelves and move/position pallets using a manual pallet jack.
- Stack products from partial pallets onto full pallets to keep merchandising neat and efficient.
- Create and place computer-generated signs, verify correct pricing/signage and mark unmarked products with item numbers when required.
- Set up and assemble display models as needed and modify displays to ensure safe handling by members.
- Remove loose cardboard and slip-sheets from the floor, clear debris and sweep sales floor areas.
- Remove empty pallets from the sales floor and rewrap loose product using shrink-wrap equipment.
- Operate cardboard baler and trash compactor following safety procedures.
- Provide prompt, courteous member service—help members load large items into carts and direct members to products.
- Assist other warehouse departments as needed.
