ABOUT THE JOB
As a Service Deli Clerk at Costco, you will help prepare and package deli products, maintain attractive displays, and support daily department routines. You’ll follow food safety procedures, keep equipment and work areas clean, and help ensure products are properly handled, labeled, and available for members throughout the day.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, package, and label deli items following department procedures and quality standards.
- Support production of deli foods such as meals, party trays, salads, and ready-to-serve items as assigned.
- Stock and rotate products in cases and coolers to maintain freshness and presentation.
- Operate deli equipment safely (as assigned), including slicers, ovens/warmers, and packaging tools.
- Maintain sanitation throughout the shift by cleaning work surfaces, tools, and equipment regularly.
- Follow food safety requirements, including temperature controls, handling practices, and hygiene standards.
- Assist with inventory routines such as receiving, organizing, and restocking supplies and ingredients.
- Dispose of waste properly and keep the department clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Provide courteous member service and respond to basic product questions.
- Assist in other areas of the warehouse as necessary.
