ABOUT THE JOB
As a Service Deli Clerk at Costco, you’ll help prepare and package deli items such as entrees, salads, party trays, and rotisserie products following established procedures. You will stock and rotate displays, operate department equipment, and keep the work area clean and organized while providing courteous service to members.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and assemble deli items such as salads, entrees, and party trays following department procedures.
- Slice, weigh, and portion products as needed and package items accurately for sale.
- Stock, rotate, and maintain deli displays, ensuring products are fresh and presented properly.
- Operate deli equipment safely (such as slicers, ovens, or wrapping equipment) following safety procedures.
- Label products accurately, including pricing and required food information.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards, including temperature controls and proper handling procedures.
- Clean and sanitize tools, equipment, and work areas throughout the day and at end of shift.
- Remove out-of-date or damaged products and complete required logs/checks as directed.
- Provide prompt and courteous member service and assist with basic questions.
- Assist in other warehouse or department areas as necessary.
