ABOUT THE JOB
As a Service Deli Clerk at Costco, you’ll help prepare and package a variety of ready-to-eat deli items such as meals, entrées, salads, party trays, rotisserie items, and take-and-bake products. You’ll follow Costco recipes and production standards, handle food safely, keep the work area clean and organized, and support daily production planning to ensure members receive fresh, high-quality products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and assemble deli items including meals, entrées, salads, party trays, and take-and-bake products according to Costco standards.
- Slice vegetables and portion ingredients for salads and prepared foods.
- Cook and assemble deli products such as rotisserie items and ribs, following approved procedures and recipes.
- Package, wrap, seal, and label products using equipment (including wrapping machines) and rotate stock in display cases.
- Monitor food safety requirements including sanitation, temperature checks, pull dates, and proper product handling.
- Restock and organize ingredients and supplies to support continuous production.
- Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas, including sinks and preparation stations, following departmental cleaning routines.
- Operate trash and cardboard equipment as required and keep the deli area free of debris.
- Track production needs and document key information such as fill counts and temperature logs.
- Complete end-of-shift cleanup and sanitation checklists, and follow safety/security procedures.
- Provide prompt, courteous member service and assist with other department tasks as needed.
- Assist in other areas of the warehouse as required.
