ABOUT THE JOB
Costco is hiring a Service Deli Clerk in Burnaby, BC. This role focuses on preparing, packaging, and labeling ready-to-serve deli products while maintaining Costco’s high standards for food safety, quality, and cleanliness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, package, and label meals, entrées, salads, party trays, rotisserie chicken, and ribs.
- Slice vegetables and assemble prepared foods, meals, pizzas, and salads.
- Cook rotisserie chicken, ribs, and entrées using commercial ovens.
- Package and label products using automatic wrapping machines; stock and rotate display cases.
- Follow Costco formulas and quality standards to ensure consistency of finished products.
- Monitor sanitation, temperatures, product rotation, and pull dates.
- Restock ingredients and supplies in preparation areas.
- Clean and sanitize equipment, work areas, floors, and utensils.
- Operate trash compactors and cardboard balers.
- Provide prompt and courteous member service.
- Assist in other department tasks as required.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Food Safety Certification – Level 1 required on the first day.
- No previous experience required.
PAY
- $21.00 per hour
