ABOUT THE JOB
As a Registered Pharmacy Technician at Costco, you will assist the pharmacy team by supporting prescription intake, data entry, preparation, and workflow coordination under established policies and provincial regulations. You’ll help maintain accurate records, support inventory routines, and provide excellent member service while keeping pharmacy operations organized and efficient.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support prescription intake by receiving information, assisting at the counter, and processing requests accurately.
- Enter and update prescription and patient information in pharmacy systems in accordance with regulations and procedures.
- Prepare prescriptions for pharmacist review, including labeling, counting, and packaging as appropriate to the role.
- Process register transactions and support billing activities, including credit/debit operations and basic insurance workflow when applicable.
- Assist with resolving prescription issues by communicating with pharmacists and prescribers as directed.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow privacy policies at all times.
- Support inventory management by receiving, stocking, and rotating drugs, supplies, and OTC merchandise.
- Help ensure accurate documentation and maintain required logs and records.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy area and follow safety and security procedures.
- Assist in other areas of the warehouse as necessary.
