Lawtons Drugs is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to join its busy community pharmacy in Dartmouth, NS. This Full-Time role is ideal for a registered technician who enjoys working closely with pharmacists, supporting safe medication practices, and delivering excellent service to patients and customers.

ABOUT THE JOB

As a Pharmacy Technician at Lawtons, you will be an integral part of the dispensary team, focusing on technical tasks that support accurate, efficient, and compliant prescription processing. You will work under the guidance of the pharmacist, using your registration, training, and attention to detail to help ensure patients receive the right medication, at the right time, with the right information.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process, prepare, and package prescriptions in accordance with provincial standards and Lawtons policies.
  • Perform data entry, profile updates, and third-party adjudication using pharmacy computer systems.
  • Participate in product preparation activities such as counting, filling, and labelling medications.
  • Support medication reconciliation, blister packaging, and other technical services as required.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and workflows in line with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, rotating, and storing pharmacy stock.
  • Work collaboratively with pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and store teammates to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Uphold privacy, confidentiality, and safety standards at all times within the pharmacy environment.
