The Pharmacy Student works under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to assist with drug distribution, prescription entry, inventory management, and patient support. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer and direct member phone calls and assist members at the pharmacy counter.
- Collect, enter, and input prescription information into the pharmacy system under supervision.
- Fill prescriptions by retrieving stock bottles, counting medications, and labeling under pharmacist supervision.
- Alert the pharmacist of potential drug interactions or patient concerns.
- Assist with prescription transactions and register operations.
- Communicate with patients regarding OTC products and know when to refer to the pharmacist.
- Help maintain pharmacy inventory, supplies, and cleanliness.
- Follow Costco pharmacy policies, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements.
