ABOUT THE JOB
As a Pharmacy Student at Costco, you will assist the pharmacy team with prescription processing, member service, and administrative tasks while gaining practical experience aligned with your academic program. You’ll work closely with pharmacists to support safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy services in accordance with provincial regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with receiving and processing prescription information accurately in pharmacy systems.
- Support prescription preparation tasks under pharmacist supervision, including counting, labeling, and organizing medications.
- Answer incoming calls and direct members to the appropriate pharmacy services.
- Provide courteous service to members at the counter and during order pickup.
- Help maintain accurate records, paperwork, and patient documentation.
- Assist pharmacists by flagging potential issues such as allergies, interactions, or patient questions.
- Support inventory management by stocking drugs, supplies, and OTC merchandise.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy work areas.
- Follow Costco pharmacy policies, privacy standards, and provincial regulations at all times.
- Assist in other areas of the warehouse as necessary, under direction.
