ABOUT THE JOB
As a Pharmacy Student at Costco, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to support daily pharmacy operations. You’ll assist with prescription intake, processing, and preparation, help maintain accurate records, and provide courteous service to members. Tasks may include basic pharmacy support activities and patient education within the scope permitted by provincial regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer and route member phone calls and help direct members to the correct pharmacy services.
- Collect prescription information and enter data into pharmacy systems accurately.
- Support prescription preparation by retrieving stock bottles, counting medications, and assisting with labeling under required supervision.
- Assist pharmacists with medication distribution tasks within the scope of training and regulations.
- Help maintain accurate documentation and follow pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Provide courteous member service at the pharmacy counter and assist with transactions as needed.
- Support the pharmacist by identifying potential issues that may require pharmacist review.
- Assist with patient education and OTC product guidance as directed and permitted.
- Help stock pharmacy supplies and keep the pharmacy clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Assist in other areas of the warehouse as necessary.
