ABOUT THE JOB
As a Certified Pharmacy Clerk at Costco, you will support the pharmacy team by assisting members at the counter, helping with prescription processing, and handling routine pharmacy transactions and administrative tasks. You’ll work closely with pharmacists and technicians to maintain accurate records, support inventory routines, and ensure a smooth experience for members while following provincial regulations and company procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist members at the pharmacy counter, answer basic questions, and provide courteous service.
- Receive and process prescription requests and support the prescription workflow as permitted by regulations.
- Operate the cash register and complete pharmacy transactions accurately.
- Enter and update information in pharmacy systems while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
- Prepare prescriptions for filling by gathering stock bottles, counting, pouring, and labeling under required supervision.
- Support inventory tasks such as receiving, stocking, rotating, and maintaining pharmacy supplies.
- Help maintain accurate paperwork and documentation according to department procedures.
- Keep the pharmacy work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist with over-the-counter merchandise organization and related department tasks.
- Assist in other areas of the warehouse as necessary.
