Safeway is seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join its Glenmore Landing Pharmacy in Calgary, AB. If you enjoy helping patients, preparing medications and supporting pharmacists in a clinical environment, this Part-Time role may be an excellent opportunity.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Pharmacy Assistant at Safeway, you will help maintain pharmacy operations by supporting prescription processing, customer service, inventory management and product preparation. Your work will directly contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of patient care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process customer transactions, refill requests and prescription release requests.
- Receive, label and organize incoming deliveries and telephone refill requests.
- Fill prescriptions, prepare medication supplies and assist with packaging and labeling.
- Maintain inventory, including restocking medications and cleaning work areas.
- Assist with drug order creation, compounding and blister-pack assembly as permitted.
- Support pharmacists by managing workflow, documentation and customer inquiries.
- Follow all regulatory guidelines, pharmacy safety standards and Safeway policies.
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to patients at the pharmacy counter.
