Sobeys is hiring a Part-Time Pharmacy Assistant II to join its Sobeys Pharmacy in Calgary, AB (Silverado location). If you are passionate about patient care, accuracy and supporting pharmacists in a community pharmacy setting, this could be a great opportunity for you.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Pharmacy Assistant II, you will support the daily operations of the pharmacy by assisting with prescription processing, customer service and administrative tasks. You will work closely with the pharmacy team to help deliver safe, accurate and patient-centred care to the community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with prescription assembly and data entry.
- Handle customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions).
- Receive, interpret and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.
- Promote pharmacy programs and services.
- Support patient care and health promotion initiatives.
- Fill and package prescriptions according to standards.
- Assist with ordering, maintaining and replenishing pharmacy supplies.
- Ensure prescription areas are kept clean and organized.
- Schedule and coordinate professional clinical services (medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state management, etc.).
- Assist with third-party billing, audits and documentation.
- Follow all company policies, regulatory requirements and pharmacy standards.
- Support other pharmacy operations as required.
