Safeway is seeking a patient-focused Pharmacist to join its Fleetwood Safeway Pharmacy in Surrey, BC. This is a Full-Time term position running approximately from November 2025 through June 2026, ideal for a pharmacist who enjoys clinical practice in a busy community setting.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Pharmacist at Safeway, you will provide professional pharmacy services including prescription verification, medication counselling and immunizations. You will work closely with technicians, assistants and store leadership to deliver safe, accurate and efficient service while supporting the health needs of patients in the Surrey community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide patient-centred care with warmth, empathy and professionalism.
- Verify, prepare and release prescriptions in accordance with British Columbia legislation and company policies.
- Conduct medication reviews, adherence checks and other clinical services as required.
- Administer injections and vaccines where authorized by provincial regulations.
- Offer clear counselling and education to patients and caregivers on new and existing therapies.
- Develop and document care plans, follow up on outcomes and maintain accurate clinical records.
- Collaborate with Pharmacy Registered Technicians and Assistants to support efficient workflow.
- Participate in health and wellness programs and other professional clinics that promote community health.
- Maintain current knowledge of pharmacy practice standards, regulatory requirements and industry developments.
- Comply with all Safeway policies, procedures and safety standards, including OHS and Loss Prevention.
