ABOUT THE JOB
As a Pharmacist at Safeway, you will deliver professional clinical care including medication reviews, prescription accuracy, wellness services, and patient counseling. You will collaborate with pharmacy technicians, assistants and healthcare partners to ensure exceptional pharmacy operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide patient-centered care through counseling, medication reviews and clinical services.
- Demonstrate empathy, professionalism and strong communication with patients and caregivers.
- Verify, prepare and release prescriptions in accordance with provincial regulations.
- Develop care plans, follow up on outcomes and manage documentation.
- Participate in immunization programs and provide injection services as permitted.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support high-quality pharmacy operations across all locations.
- Guide and support Pharmacy Registered Technicians and Assistants.
- Follow all pharmacy standards, laws, documentation and safety procedures.
- Maintain current knowledge of pharmacy practice, regulatory requirements and industry trends.
