FreshCo is recruiting a patient-focused Pharmacist for its Chalo FreshCo Pharmacy in Winnipeg, MB. This Full-Time role is ideal for a pharmacist who enjoys community practice, clinical services, and helping customers make informed decisions about their health.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Pharmacist at FreshCo, you will be responsible for delivering safe, effective, and compassionate pharmacy care in a busy community setting. You will provide clinical services, verify prescriptions, offer counselling, and work closely with pharmacy teammates to ensure prescriptions are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining an excellent patient experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide warm, professional, and respectful patient-centred care in every interaction.
- Assess prescriptions for appropriateness, verify therapeutic doses, and identify potential drug interactions or allergies.
- Perform final check on prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Manitoba regulations and company policies.
- Offer counselling on medications, side effects, disease state management, and adherence strategies tailored to each patient.
- Deliver clinical services such as medication reviews, injections, and health screenings where permitted by scope.
- Develop and document care plans, follow up on patient outcomes, and maintain accurate clinical records.
- Collaborate with Registered Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants to coordinate workflow and prioritize tasks.
- Support health and wellness initiatives, clinics, and community outreach programs organized by the pharmacy.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, ethical, and safety standards, including OHS and Loss Prevention requirements.
