FreshCo is looking for a patient-centred Pharmacist to join its Regional Relief team based in Mississauga, ON. This Full-Time role is ideal for a pharmacist who enjoys working across multiple community pharmacy locations while delivering high-quality clinical care and outstanding customer service.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Regional Relief Pharmacist at FreshCo, you will support pharmacies within an assigned territory, stepping into different locations as needed to ensure consistent, safe, and efficient operations. You will focus on providing exceptional patient care, supporting workflow, and upholding all regulatory and company standards while collaborating closely with local pharmacy teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work within designated relief territory, demonstrating warmth, empathy, and professionalism in every patient interaction.
- Deliver patient-focused clinical services such as medication reviews, disease state management, health risk assessments, and injections/vaccinations where permitted.
- Provide clear counselling and education to patients and caregivers, adapting communication to individual needs and circumstances.
- Initiate and maintain care plans, complete accurate documentation, and follow up on patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support seamless pharmacy experiences across different locations.
- Prioritize prescription safety by delegating appropriate technical functions to Pharmacy Registered Technicians and Assistants.
- Stay current with pharmacy practice standards, regulatory requirements, and company programs, participating in required training.
- Follow all FreshCo and Sobeys policies, procedures, and processes, including OHS, Loss Prevention, and continuous quality improvement.
