FreshCo is seeking a patient-focused Pharmacist to join its community pharmacy in Calgary, AB. This Part-Time role is ideal for a pharmacist who enjoys clinical practice in a neighbourhood setting and wants to make a positive impact on patients’ health and wellbeing.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Pharmacist at FreshCo, you will provide safe, accurate, and compassionate pharmacy care while supporting day-to-day dispensary operations. You will verify prescriptions, deliver clinical services, counsel patients, and work closely with pharmacy teammates to ensure an efficient workflow and an outstanding customer experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver warm, empathetic, and professional patient-centred care in every interaction.
- Assess prescriptions for appropriateness, potential interactions, allergies, and therapeutic suitability in accordance with Alberta regulations.
- Perform final check on prescriptions and ensure accurate dispensing, labelling, and documentation.
- Provide counselling on medications, side effects, lifestyle considerations, and adherence strategies tailored to individual patient needs.
- Offer clinical services such as medication reviews, injections, and health consultations where permitted by scope.
- Develop and maintain care plans, document clinical activities, and follow up on patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with Registered Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants to coordinate workflow and delegate technical tasks appropriately.
- Support company health and wellness programs, clinics, and pharmacy initiatives within the community.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, ethical, safety, and company policies, including OHS and Loss Prevention.
