The Optician / Contact Lens Practitioner works in Costco’s Optical department assisting members with eyewear selection, contact lenses, and optical services. This position requires provincial licensing and focuses on delivering high-quality optical care, accurate dispensing, and excellent member service in a professional retail healthcare environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist members with selecting eyeglass frames, lenses, and contact lenses.
- Measure and verify optical prescriptions and member requirements.
- Dispense eyewear and contact lenses in accordance with provincial regulations.
- Educate members on proper use and care of eyewear and contact lenses.
- Process orders, payments, and documentation accurately.
- Maintain organized, clean, and compliant optical work areas.
- Follow safety, privacy, and optical compliance standards.
