Costco is hiring a friendly and detail-focused Member Service Assistant to support front-end and security operations at its warehouse in Brampton, ON. ABOUT THE JOB
As a Member Service Assistant, you will be one of the first and last points of contact for members entering and exiting the warehouse. You will verify memberships, conduct safety and security checks, monitor entry and exit areas and assist members with directions, loading and general questions while following Costco’s safety and service standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet members warmly, verify membership cards and help maintain accurate entry counts.
- Conduct hourly safety and security checks throughout the warehouse and perimeter.
- Identify and report safety hazards such as spills, blocked exits or fire risks to management.
- Welcome members entering the warehouse, maintain eye contact and offer assistance when needed.
- Keep entrance and exit areas clean, organized and free of obstructions.
- Monitor warehouse access points and report armored transport arrivals to the duty manager.
- Observe armored deposit pickups, jewelry handling and register drawer setup while following procedures.
- Check member receipts at exit, compare items to merchandise and mark receipts accurately.
- Provide fast and courteous assistance to members with corrections, questions or concerns.
- Direct members to product and service locations and assist with loading, shopping and carts.
- Watch after-hours exit doors and report door status to management using two-way radio.
- Drive the warehouse perimeter in a personal vehicle for security checks when required.
- Report suspicious activity to the duty manager and contact police if necessary.
- Support other warehouse departments as needed.
