Sobeys is looking for a Part-Time Meat & Seafood Teammate to join its store in Calgary, AB (Signal Hill area). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with fresh meat and seafood products, providing excellent customer service and supporting daily department operations.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Meat & Seafood Teammate is responsible for carrying out a wide range of duties in a professional, accurate and timely manner. You will support outstanding customer service, maintain product quality and presentation, and help ensure a safe and engaging shopping experience in the meat and seafood department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety policies, corporate policies and other programs and initiatives.
- Receive, store and rotate merchandise and meat/seafood products in accordance with company inventory control procedures.
- Provide friendly, superior customer service to meet shopper needs.
- Prepare, package, weigh and label meat and seafood products.
- Stock cases and self-serve displays, ensuring products are fresh, clean and well merchandised.
- Process customer orders and special requests.
- Maintain department sanitation and housekeeping standards.
- Operate department equipment safely and according to company guidelines.
- Participate in the training of junior staff where required.
- Assist with department paperwork, price changes and other routine functions.
- Perform other duties as required.
