FreshCo is looking for an experienced Meat Manager to join its Toronto, ON store. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading teams, and has a strong understanding of meat operations, merchandising, and food safety standards.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Meat Manager at FreshCo, you will oversee all functions of the meat department, including product quality, merchandising, team leadership, and execution of company programs. You will ensure customers receive fresh, well-displayed products while maintaining the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage daily meat department operations, ensuring product quality, freshness, and accurate rotation.
- Lead and coach team members, providing training and support to achieve strong performance.
- Develop and maintain an engaging workplace focused on customer satisfaction and team accountability.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, food safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Execute merchandising plans, promotions, and seasonal programs according to FreshCo guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels, track shrink, and support cost-control and budgeting initiatives.
- Support ordering processes, scheduling, labour management, and workload distribution.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
