ABOUT THE JOB
As a Meat Clerk at Safeway, you will assist with stocking, rotating and preparing meat products, while providing friendly service to customers at the counter. You will follow all food safety procedures and help maintain high standards of cleanliness and product quality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Stock, rotate and merchandise meat products in refrigerated cases.
- Assist customers with questions, product recommendations and basic service needs.
- Follow food safety, sanitation and proper handling procedures.
- Wrap, label and price meat items according to Safeway standards.
- Keep work areas, coolers and equipment clean and well maintained.
- Assist with receiving, checking and storing product deliveries.
- Use equipment such as scales, cutters and wrapping machines safely and responsibly.
- Support the meat department team with daily tasks and customer service.
