The Meat Assistant works as part of the meat department team, helping prepare products for sale and ensuring displays are clean, organized, and properly stocked. This position involves operating equipment, handling products safely, and supporting daily department operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wrap, label, and package meat products using approved equipment and procedures.
- Stock and rotate meat displays to ensure freshness and product availability.
- Operate meat grinders and related equipment safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
- Follow food safety, temperature control, and health code standards.
- Assist with inventory handling and restocking as needed.
- Provide prompt and courteous service to Costco members.
