ABOUT THE JOB
The Meat Assistant works closely with the meat department team to ensure products are properly prepared, displayed, and maintained according to Costco standards while providing excellent service to members.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect and reassemble equipment sanitized from the previous night.
- Rework display cases and rotate product as required.
- Load trays of meat packages from large wheeled racks and place individual packages into automatic wrapping machines.
- Set product labels and apply labels to meat products.
- Wrap and label meat on large trays and stock display cases.
- Operate meat grinder and dispose of meat into appropriate containers after each batch.
- Follow proper department production procedures and standards for quality and consistency.
- Clean and sanitize work areas throughout the day, maintaining proper temperatures.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, and implements.
- Provide prompt and courteous service to Costco members.
