ABOUT THE JOB
As a Meat Assistant at Costco, you will help prepare and package meat products, maintain clean work areas, and support department production needs. This position is hands-on and requires attention to food safety, quality, and teamwork in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wrap and label meat products using wrapping machines.
- Inspect equipment and ensure work areas are sanitized before production.
- Restock display cases and rotate products according to standards.
- Transport meat products from storage racks to packaging areas.
- Set labels, apply pricing, and prepare products for sale.
- Operate meat grinders and check batch contents as required.
- Follow department procedures for quality and consistency of finished products.
- Clean and sanitize tools, equipment, and work surfaces throughout the day.
- Perform routine maintenance of machinery and implements.
- Maintain proper temperatures and follow food safety guidelines.
- Provide prompt and courteous service to Costco members.
- Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed.
