ABOUT THE JOB
As a Meat Assistant at Costco, you’ll help prepare meat products for sale by operating wrapping equipment, setting labels and pricing, and keeping display cases full and organized. You’ll follow sanitation and temperature guidelines, support daily department routines, and provide courteous member service when needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wrap and label meat products using a wrapping machine and department procedures.
- Stock display cases, rotate product, and maintain an organized presentation for members.
- Set labels according to product type and price, ensuring accurate labeling and marking.
- Load and move meat product using trays, racks, or carts while following safe lifting practices.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas, including end-of-shift sanitation tasks.
- Follow food safety rules, health codes, and sanitation standards, including temperature control.
- Support basic department production tasks and help keep product flow efficient.
- Provide prompt and courteous member service and assist with basic questions when needed.
- Perform routine checks to support quality and consistency of finished products.
- Assist in other areas of the warehouse as necessary.
