ABOUT THE JOB
As a Marketing Road Representative at Costco, you will meet with current and prospective members and local businesses to help increase membership sign-ups and support warehouse sales. You’ll promote Costco membership options (including Executive Membership) and related programs, schedule and run sign-up activities, track results, and help strengthen Costco’s presence through community events and outreach. This position may require evenings and weekends and includes travel using your personal vehicle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage with current and prospective members to increase membership sign-ups and support warehouse sales.
- Canvas businesses in person and by phone to promote membership and build relationships.
- Meet with business owners to assess needs and recommend Costco products and services that may benefit them.
- Discuss employee membership opportunities with larger businesses and help coordinate on-site sign-up events.
- Promote Costco membership benefits, including Executive Membership, and support related programs as assigned.
- Work toward department goals tied to new membership sign-ups and program targets.
- Track daily activity such as sign-ups, calls, appointments, and results to support performance reporting.
- Maintain clear mileage/expense documentation and submit receipts as required for reimbursement.
- Attend and participate in local community events and trade shows to support outreach.
- Support the Marketing Manager with the local marketing plan and ongoing initiatives.
- Provide prompt, courteous member service and respond to questions using tact and good judgment.
- Assist at the Membership Counter when needed and support other warehouse areas as required.
- Follow all safety, security, and departmental procedures.
