ABOUT THE JOB
As a Maintenance Assistant at Costco, you will help maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep across different areas of the warehouse, including floors, restrooms, and operational spaces. You’ll handle routine cleaning tasks, operate cleaning equipment, restock supplies, and follow safety procedures to help ensure a welcoming environment for members and employees.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete daily cleaning tasks across the warehouse, including common areas, restrooms, and operational spaces.
- Clean floors and perform routine scrubbing, mopping, and sweeping to meet company standards.
- Empty trash and recycling, and operate trash/cardboard compactors following safety procedures.
- Keep restrooms clean and stocked, including soap, paper products, and other supplies.
- Use and maintain cleaning tools and equipment such as floor scrubbers and vacuum systems.
- Perform basic facility upkeep tasks (for example: cleaning windows, spot-cleaning, and monitoring overall cleanliness).
- Restock cleaning supplies as needed and help organize supply storage areas.
- Follow all safety and security procedures, including proper use of chemicals and personal protective equipment.
- Provide courteous service to members and employees when interacting on the floor.
- Assist in other warehouse areas as necessary.
