ABOUT THE JOB
As a Loss Prevention Clerk at Costco, you will help maintain a safe and secure warehouse by observing activity on the sales floor and around the building, identifying potential safety or security concerns, and documenting incidents. You may support investigations, cooperate with local law enforcement when required, and prepare reports that help reduce risk and prevent loss.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor the warehouse and surrounding areas to help deter theft, reduce loss, and maintain a safe environment.
- Observe, document, and report potential safety or security hazards and suspicious activity.
- Respond to incidents and assist with investigations according to established procedures.
- Prepare written reports for internal use and support follow-up actions when needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to incidents, investigations, and outcomes.
- Work with warehouse leadership to identify patterns and recommend loss reduction opportunities.
- Support compliance with company policies and relevant regulations related to safety and security.
- Communicate professionally with members and employees while maintaining confidentiality.
- Cooperate with local law enforcement or legal processes when required, including providing reports or testimony as needed.
- Assist in other warehouse areas as necessary.
