ABOUT THE JOB
As a Licensed Optician / Contact Lens Practitioner, you will assist members with prescription eyewear and contact lenses, take accurate measurements, adjust eyewear, and support optical operations in compliance with provincial regulations and Costco standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist members in selecting and ordering eyewear, frames, lenses, contact lenses, and sunglasses.
- Provide accurate measurements for eyewear and contact lenses.
- Answer member questions and demonstrate product features and benefits.
- Assist in providing members with support in booking optometry appointments.
- Adjust eyeglasses using frame warmers and bending tools.
- Ring up optical and over-the-counter merchandise and process payments.
- Process paperwork, handle cash, and perform record-keeping duties.
- Order, receive, and stock optical merchandise and supplies.
- Maintain proper handling of contact lenses and follow safety procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness by cleaning, spraying, wiping, and mopping as required.
- Provide prompt, accurate, and courteous member service.
- Assist in other warehouse areas as necessary.
