Lawtons Drugs is seeking a friendly and knowledgeable Home Health Care Consultant to join its team in Halifax, NS. This Part-Time role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers find the right mobility aids, medical equipment, and home health products to support their independence and quality of life.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Home Health Care Consultant at Lawtons, you will provide personalized service to customers looking for home health care solutions. You will use your product knowledge and communication skills to recommend appropriate items, explain features and benefits, and ensure a positive shopping experience. You will also support merchandising, inventory control, and accurate documentation within the Home Health Care department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet customers, assess their needs, and recommend suitable home health care products and equipment.
- Provide information and guidance on mobility aids, supports, braces, bathroom safety products, and related items.
- Deliver compassionate, respectful service while maintaining patient and customer confidentiality.
- Assist with fittings and product demonstrations where appropriate, ensuring safe and proper use.
- Maintain attractive merchandising standards, including displays, signage, and product rotation.
- Support inventory management by receiving, organizing, and monitoring stock in the Home Health Care department.
- Process sales transactions accurately and assist with third-party billing or special orders as required.
- Collaborate with pharmacy and store teammates to provide a consistent, customer-focused experience.
- Follow all Lawtons and Sobeys policies, including safety, loss prevention, and privacy requirements.
