Safeway is hiring a motivated and detail-oriented Grocery Clerk to join its Edmonton Retail Support Centre (RSC) in Edmonton, AB. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, supporting store operations and helping keep products moving efficiently, this Full-Time role could be a great fit.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Grocery Clerk at Safeway, you will support the day-to-day operations of grocery ordering, merchandising and inventory handling. You will help ensure products are processed accurately, work areas are clean and safe, and internal and external customers receive excellent service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide friendly and professional service to meet customer and internal stakeholder needs.
- Process grocery orders and assist with program execution and product merchandising.
- Perform retail floor maintenance and help keep work areas clean, safe and presentable.
- Maintain back shop organization, including rotating and storing product correctly.
- Receive warehouse orders and verify quantities as required.
- Increase sales by actively promoting products and supporting company initiatives.
- Order and receive stock in accordance with company inventory control procedures.
- Process department shrink and follow all food safety and health & safety protocols.
- Participate in the training and support of junior staff.
- Carry out other related duties as required by the department.
