FreshCo is seeking an entrepreneurial and people-focused Franchise Operator for its London, ON location. This opportunity is ideal for a leader who is passionate about grocery retail, building high-performing teams, and delivering an outstanding discount shopping experience for the local community.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Franchise Operator at FreshCo, you will oversee all aspects of store operations, from strategic planning and financial performance to customer experience and employee engagement. You will work in partnership with the Sobeys/FreshCo support teams to execute Company programs, drive sales, and ensure the store consistently meets brand standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide overall leadership for the store, setting clear expectations and fostering a culture of accountability and customer focus.
- Develop, coach, and motivate department managers and teammates to achieve operational and service excellence.
- Oversee daily operations including merchandising, inventory management, labour planning, and sales execution.
- Ensure compliance with all FreshCo standards, policies, food safety regulations, and health & safety guidelines.
- Analyze financial results, manage budgets, and identify opportunities to improve sales, margins, and cost control.
- Support the implementation of promotional programs, pricing strategies, and seasonal plans.
- Build strong relationships with customers and the local community, responding to feedback and resolving issues promptly.
- Lead by example by promoting a safe, inclusive, and respectful work environment.
