Costco is hiring a Food Service Assistant – Food Court to support daily food court operations at its Laval, Quebec warehouse. This role focuses on food preparation, customer service, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Food Service Assistant works in Costco’s food court preparing food and beverages, assisting members, and ensuring all food safety, cleanliness, and service standards are met.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares hot food items, wraps, and toppings including pizzas, baked items, and beverages.
- Steams hot dogs and buns, operates deep fryers, and prepares food according to recipes.
- Takes member orders at the counter and by phone.
- Assembles and presents orders to members.
- Operates food court equipment safely and efficiently.
- Cleans and sanitizes kitchen areas, equipment, utensils, floors, and counters.
- Maintains self-serve pop area, condiment tables, and seating areas.
- Stocks food, supplies, and ingredients from the warehouse.
- Follows all health codes, sanitation, temperature control, and food handling procedures.
- Provides prompt and courteous member service.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Food Safety Certification – Level 1 required.
- No prior experience required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
