ABOUT THE JOB
As a Food Service Assistant, you will support the daily operations of the Costco Food Court by preparing food, managing equipment, assembling orders and keeping the area sanitized. You will play an important role in delivering a friendly, efficient member experience while maintaining Costco’s high standards for quality and safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and cook hot food items such as pizzas, hot dogs and baked goods following department guidelines.
- Slice pizza, add toppings, operate warmers and ensure products are fresh and presented properly.
- Ring up sales, package orders for members and answer basic questions at the counter or by phone.
- Use tongs and approved tools to handle food safely and consistently.
- Dispense frozen yogurt, smoothies and other dessert or drink items, keeping machines clean and stocked.
- Maintain self-serve stations including condiments, utensils and eating areas.
- Bus tables, sweep and mop floors, empty trash and maintain overall cleanliness of the Food Court.
- Clean and sanitize equipment, surfaces, pans, utensils and counters according to safety standards.
- Pull supplies from the warehouse, rotate stock and store items in coolers, freezers and shelves.
- Follow health codes regarding sanitation, food temperatures, product rotation and expiration dates.
- Support other warehouse areas when required.
