Costco is looking for a knowledgeable and customer-focused Electronics Sales Assistant to join its team in Brampton, ON. This role focuses on selling merchandise in the major appliance, jewelry and electronics areas of the sales floor while providing excellent service and product advice to members.
ABOUT THE JOB
As an Electronics Sales Assistant, you will help members choose the right products by answering questions, demonstrating features and explaining the benefits of various items. You will stay informed about current technology and product trends, maintain well-stocked displays and support merchandising standards across your department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide prompt, courteous member service by greeting members, answering questions and assisting with product selection.
- Demonstrate merchandise in the electronics, major appliance and jewelry areas, explaining key features and benefits.
- Stay current on product information by reading industry magazines, reviews and training materials.
- Communicate with the Area Manager regarding quantities, status, pricing and promotion of merchandise.
- Follow merchandising plans and standards when setting up displays and arranging products on the sales floor.
- Align, front-face and rotate stock to maintain high product levels and a clean presentation.
- Check and approve merchandise for member returns, ensuring items meet department standards for resale.
- Support merchandise moves by reviewing pick lists, preparing items for forklift drivers and restocking aisles.
- Organize and maintain the security item lock-up; clear debris from the sales floor and security area as needed.
- Assist other warehouse departments when required.
