Sobeys is hiring a Part-Time Seafood Clerk to join its store in Calgary, AB (Nolan Hill area). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with fresh seafood products, interacting with customers and supporting daily department operations.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Seafood Clerk is responsible for providing friendly and professional service while preparing seafood products for customer purchases. You will assist with product presentation, food safety, merchandising and overall customer experience in the seafood department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety policies and corporate guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service to meet seafood department needs.
- Receive, rotate and prepare seafood products for sale.
- Process customer seafood orders and special requests.
- Perform general cleaning, sanitizing and merchandising of seafood displays.
- Handle, prepare and package products according to company standards.
- Participate in training of junior staff when required.
- Operate seafood department equipment safely and properly.
- Maintain accurate record keeping in accordance with inventory control procedures.
- Work collaboratively with teammates to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
