ABOUT THE JOB
As a Certified Pharmacy Clerk at Costco, you will help the pharmacy operate smoothly by supporting pharmacists and pharmacy staff with day-to-day tasks. You’ll assist members at the counter, help process prescriptions, handle register transactions, and support inventory and merchandising while maintaining confidentiality and following required regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist members at the pharmacy counter by answering questions and directing requests appropriately.
- Support prescription processing by receiving information, retrieving files, and preparing paperwork as directed.
- Process register transactions, including payments, refunds, and basic billing/credit/debit operations.
- Enter and update information in pharmacy systems as permitted by provincial regulations and internal procedures.
- Help prepare prescriptions for pharmacist review, including organizing labels and required documentation.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care.
- Stock and organize pharmacy merchandise and supplies, supporting rotation and inventory routines.
- Support over-the-counter product merchandising, signage, and department organization.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the pharmacy area, including basic housekeeping tasks.
- Assist in other areas of the warehouse as necessary.
