ABOUT THE JOB
As a Cashier at Safeway, you will be the friendly face customers interact with during checkout. You will handle transactions, provide excellent service, and ensure a positive shopping experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide friendly, efficient and professional service to customers at checkout.
- Operate cash registers, scanners and payment systems accurately and safely.
- Bag groceries properly and assist customers as needed during checkout.
- Maintain a clean, organized and well-stocked front-end area.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures and cash-handling guidelines.
- Assist with price checks, product inquiries and general customer questions.
- Support other store tasks and collaborate with team members when required.
- Represent Safeway with courtesy, professionalism and a customer-first attitude.
