ABOUT THE JOB
As a Cashier Assistant at Costco, you will assist cashiers at the register, help pack merchandise, retrieve carts, and maintain cleanliness in the front-end area. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy customer interaction and working in a fast-paced retail environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pack member orders into boxes and transfer items to a separate cart.
- Assist cashiers by loading items onto the conveyor belt.
- Retrieve carts and help keep checkout lines moving efficiently.
- Answer member questions and provide prompt, courteous service.
- Perform cleanup duties, including spill removal and debris cleanup.
- Return merchandise to proper locations when required.
- Maintain cleanliness of cashier areas and front-end zones.
- Operate trash compactors and cardboard balers when assigned.
- Support cashier promotions and special events.
- Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed.
