ABOUT THE JOB
As a Cake Decorator at Costco, you will frost, decorate, and finish cakes using piping bags, icing tools, and decorating equipment. You will ensure bakery products are visually appealing, properly prepared, and ready for sale.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Slice half-sheet cakes by hand using knives or slicing machines.
- Apply icing and decorations using spatulas and piping bags.
- Decorate cakes according to Costco formulas and presentation standards.
- Remove excess icing and place cakes into appropriate packaging.
- Write messages and personalize cakes when required.
- Assemble and label pre-cut cardboard cake boxes.
- Transfer cakes to cooler, freezer, or wrapping areas as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and security procedures.
- Provide prompt and courteous service to Costco members.
- Assist with other bakery or warehouse duties as required.
