ABOUT THE JOB
As a Bakery Wrapper at Costco, you’ll support daily bakery production by finishing, wrapping, labeling, and preparing baked goods for sale. You’ll help maintain high quality standards, keep displays stocked, and ensure the work area stays clean and safe while providing friendly member service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Remove baked items from containers and finish products with garnishes, icing/drizzle, or glaze according to department procedures.
- Wrap and package bakery products by hand or using wrapping equipment.
- Assemble packaging materials such as pre-cut cardboard boxes for baked goods.
- Weigh and label products accurately to meet department standards.
- Inspect items and remove any damaged, underweight, overweight, or defective products to maintain quality and consistency.
- Move product and supplies using rolling racks and keep production flowing efficiently.
- Stock and rotate bakery items as needed, monitor pull dates, and follow health and food safety guidelines.
- Provide courteous member service, answer basic product questions, and direct members to the right area when needed.
- Keep wrapping and sales areas clean, organized, and free of debris while following safety procedures.
- Support other bakery or warehouse tasks as required.
