ABOUT THE JOB
As a Bakery Wrapper at Costco, you will help prepare bakery items for sale by wrapping and packaging products, labeling and weighing items, and ensuring the bakery sales area stays stocked, clean, and organized. You’ll also help maintain quality standards by checking product condition and rotating inventory while providing friendly member service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wrap and package bakery products by hand or using a wrapping machine, following Costco procedures.
- Garnish and finish baked goods (for example, adding icing, drizzles, or glaze) according to established formulas.
- Assemble pre-cut cardboard boxes and prepare items for display and sale.
- Weigh and label products accurately to meet department standards.
- Inspect items for quality and remove damaged, underweight, or defective products.
- Move products safely using carts or wheeled racks and keep displays tidy.
- Stock the bakery sales area as needed and rotate items to maintain freshness.
- Monitor product dates and support basic food safety and health code practices.
- Provide prompt, courteous member service and help direct members to bakery products and service areas.
- Maintain a clean wrapping area and follow all safety, security, and sanitation procedures.
- Assist with other bakery or warehouse tasks as needed.
